The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Program helps Florida businesses interested in obtaining contracts with the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, and state/local government agencies and participating prime contractors. Counseling is provided free of charge to any Florida firm. Fees may be charged for special services and/or workshops.

Purpose
The purpose of the FPTAC is to educate businesses on government polices, generate sales and jobs for Florida businesses and to improve the business climate and economic development in Florida.

Counseling
Counseling services include the following: Bid/Proposal Preparation, Basic Training conferences, Marketing, Contract Administration, Pre-award Surveys, Quality Assurance Program, Special Training Programs, Federal supply Schedule Solutions, and 8(a), SDB and MBE Certifications. The Procurement Technical Assistance Center Program is funded by a combination of federal and state funds to provide counseling and technical assistance to Florida firms interested in the federal market. The statewide program is administered by the University of West Florida in Pensacola. Federal matching funds are received through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency.
