ore than 130 professional business analysts and trainers from SBDCs around the state of Florida are meeting in Naples, June 5-8, 2005 for the Florida SBDC Network’s 2005 Professional Development Conference, held in conjunction with the FSBDCN's Florida Lenders' Conference.

Hosted by the Florida SBDC Network State Director’s Office and its 31 statewide centers, the conference features: keynote addresses by Charles Ou of the US SBA's Office of Advocacy on Small Business Finance in the 21st Century and Dr. Henry Fishkind of Fishkind & Associates on Florida's Economic Outlook; Lenders' and FSBDCN Performance Excellence Recognition Luncheons;   welcome address by Nuby Fowler, SBA Administrator, Region IV; and Concurrent Sessions on 504 Loan Issues, Loan Closing Challenges, Leveraging the FSBDCN Portfolio of Services, SBA Lending Basics, Inside the Loan Committee, Disaster Bridge Loans, Loan Servicing & Liquidation, 7(a) Updates on 7(a) Program Trends, Secondary Market Issues, Working with Technology and Manufacturing SMEs, Inside LLC's & S Corps, How to Keep Their Taxes Out of Uncle Sam's Pockets, New Economic and Research Tools for Small Business Clients, eBay Options for Clients, Solving Marketing Emergencies and much more.

The conference is open to the national SBDC program, as well as any economic development organization. Look forward to an informative, fun-filled conference providing professional development opportunities for program staff, business analysts, trainers, center directors, management personnel, support staff and volunteers.
